Karen McDonald has worked for over 14 years within the Smithsonian, at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center and the Smithsonian Science Education Center. She has collaborated on a variety of educational programs, outreach, video projects and curriculum development. She is a member of the IUCN Otter Specialist Group and enjoys using game cameras to track wildlife. She has an M.S. in Biology from the University of Central Arkansas and a B.S. in Environmental Science and Philosophy from Ferrum College, VA.
