Design Snacks Series | Creating a Mood Board
How do designers generate inspiration? Join fashion designer and educator Lesley Ware for a hands-on workshop that explores sourcing materials and ideas for your own mood board. More than just collages, mood boards can inspire everything from websites to books to home interiors. Participants will enhance their design literacy skills and build a network with other participants who are interested in exploring innovative tools to use in their own practices, classrooms, or organizations.

Lesley Ware is a fashion as self-care advocate, designer and maker! She is the author of four books, including Sew Fab: Sewing and Style for Young Fashionistas, My Fab Fashion Style File, How to Be a Fashion Designer, and 101 Ways to Love Your Style. As a joyful leader and pioneer in the world of fashion education and design, she helps young people expand their creative talents through personal style. Ware has developed and led specialized education programs with several institutions, including Parsons School of Design, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York Times Student Journeys and New Visions for Public Schools. In 2008 she founded The Creative Cookie, a blog that was a behind-the-scenes look at New York’s fashion scene. She is now designing her second collection of clothing that she describes as "quirky lady bridal wear". Upcoming projects include the release of a fifth book and a fashion history podcast. She lives in New York with her husband and two kittens.
